The Rooster is the most perculiar of all the Chinese Zodiac Signs. They are a dichotomy. I have always thought of the Rooster as an amalgamation of 2 different uncomplimentary characters or people. One a creative dreamer. The second an anal-retentive type A personality. The odd couple all wrapped up into one person!! Let me explain.

First the people born under the Zodiac Rooster Sign are a very innovative right-brained optmists. They might be said to "walk around with their heads in the clouds," unaware of their surroundings. This is because the Rooster can often be found deep in thought. They have come up with a great idea and are trying to figure out how best to use this to better themselves.

The Rooster always thinks he is "ahead of the curve." They are your friends who have the latest stock tip or other investment that is going to "hit it big." However, more often than not, their ideas usually end up going bust, not making them or anyone else any of the fast money they thought it would. However, don't fret you Roosters, you also are blessed with an endless amount of energy and an ego that isn't easily bruised. You can and you will pick yourselves by your bootstraps and start over.

Like I said above, Roosters are also very anal-retentive and have a Type-A personality. You keep an impeccable clean and sterile house, car, and office. Dust runs for the Rooster! Roosters MUST have control of their surrounds. Everything has a place and there is a place for everything in the Roosters world. Roosters are very organized, another side effect of that type-A personality.

But because of these traits, Roosters work best in fields that require organization and observation. If you are a Rooster looking for a field to study, I suggest becoming a detective or working in the FBI. These fields require a keen mind and an attention to detail. But also the ability to think abstractly. Your Roosters will thrive in these fields or fields related to this kind of work. And remember, this is one suggestion, if you Roosters are interested in other professions, just understand your strong and weak points.

Roosters can make good mates and spouses, if you understand their personality. When married to a Rooster, one has to understand that they will insist on a clean, organized house. If you are not an organized person, and don't get upset on a little clutter here and there, you have to understand that some sort of compromise will have to be struck.

Roosters daydream ALOT. Don't become angry, if you have to call their name several times to get their attention, they're just in their own little world, and not ignoring you.

But, are these areas to get upset about? To me, who has been married over 10 years, I say NO! And, with a drive to get things done and on the right track, coupled with a Germanic willpower, the Rooster is a great provider for his or her family.

Roosters always make great parents. They have a great sense of discipline, but with not being too strict. As I stated above, they are great providers for their families. If you ask me a good Rooster is a great catch!!
