Second in the Great Race was Mr. Ox. Lets go over the Zodiac Ox Sign and Compatibility. When I was younger I always thought it was unfair the Ox got second. That sneaky Rat only won riding the coattails fo the Ox. I mean that Ox did all the work. He SHOULD have won! Oh well... Calm, dependable and a tireless, TIRELESS worker the steadfast Ox will be "on the job" until finished. The Ox will take their time completing whatever tasks asked of them. And, when finished, the job will be completed with the highest of quality and craftsmanship. The Ox is that person at work who never takes a sick day or time off for vacation. The Ox is never late for work and always has projects done on time. But you Oxen have to be careful, you can get TO involved in your work. So, take a few days off every once and a while. On the flipside, the poor quality, quick fixes of today will drive the Ox crazy! "Slow and Steady Wins the Race," is your motto. This is why, as I have stated before, the Ox is the blue collar worker of the Chinese Zodiac. Also, be forewarned, if you have Ox company over, better have your house cleaned. And I mean cleaned up to the "white gloved" standards. If not you may find your company bent over a mop and bucket, cleaning the kitchen!! Emotionally, people who fall under the Zodiac Ox Sign are a calm, steady presence. Slow to anger, the Ox has many friends, compatible with most people and is very well respected. The Ox usually hold positions of authority and responsibility. The Ox is a great person to work for. Everyone has clearly defined responsibilities, and understands exactly what there jobs entail. I personally work for an Ox and can state from experience, if you do what is expected, you will always be on their "good" side. The Ox is also a great person to manage, due to great work ethic and character. You Oxen are a very proud people! I personally am a GREAT admirer of the Ox!! Romantically, the Ox is not a Casanova. They will not sweep you off your feet. Don't expect moonlit walks by the beach, flowers or candlelit dinners! Sorry!! So, if you are searching for a short term "fling" steer clear of the Ox. Like I said above, the Ox may be a bit of a bore, but who isn't after a few years together! I'm married to an Ox. After you get used to their monotony, they start to grow on you!! So, if looking for a life long mate, people falling under the Zodiac Ox Sign may be for you. They take their marriage vows very seriously. The Ox will be there for you in good times and in bad, through thick and thin. They are excellent providers for their families, diligent parents and great lovers and sometimes even compatible with the inlaws. But no guarantees. Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it! Well, the Ox does have a few shortcomings. First, they can be VERY stubborn. I think Ox is Chinese for stubborn. Once an Ox makes up their mind, it is difficult or impossible to change it. Second, they have a horrible temper. It takes alot to get them mad. But, once they are steamed, JUST STAY OUT OF THEIR WAY. Eventually they will calm down.
