If working toward a promotion this year, you are in for much turmoil in life. Be forewarned, another within your organization is also vying for this position. And, they won't give it up without a fight. Don't get caught up in any petty backstabbing, gossip, or other mindgames. This person you are competing with is a master at this, you are not. My advice is to use good work ethic and some responsible self-promotion to win the day...and your hard earned promotion. Once achieved, don't rest on your laurels. A promotion to a management position always stirs the house. There will be people openly gunning for you to fail--and some who will pile it on if you start to slide. Be prepared for long days, longer nights and weekends spent at the office. You can also look foward to open confrontations with employees and supervisors alike. Have fun! However, if you can last throught 2007 and into early 2008, things should settle down (as they always do) and the status quo will once again be reached. Not up for a switch in responsibilities, no promotion in site? What's in store for you Dragons? In general there may be a yearning for something new. The seeds of a possible career change will start to take root in 2007. It's up to you if you want to follow a new path or stay on the old one.
